Asian Bridal Biography

Organised, directed and choreographed by Rezz Aly Shah, ‘Winds of Modernism’ – a fashion show gala night by IFWA President In-sun Choi, the Korean ambassador’s wife, who designs clothes by the brand name of IRIS – mesmerised diplomatic elite of the city.
Some of Pakistani models, namely Rubab, Maha, Mehak and Uzma, along with Korean models also took part in the show. The clothes were mostly sensuous and a blend of Korean and the modern line. White and pastel shades, irrespective of some stark combinations, dominated the line and the models carried the dresses quite well with grace and poise.
Model Rubab opened the show with fantastic Korean music and followed by a brigade of models with thumping beats and ran Rezz’s fabulous music that left people glued to their seats.
Hanbok is the traditional Korean dress. It is often characterised by vibrant colours and simple lines without pockets.
The stylish sets and fashionable costumes also caught the eye of many viewers. The feminine, modern hanbok-inspired dresses worn by top models as a modern-day dress attracted much attention. Madam In Sun, the designer, used five basic colours –red, yellow blue, white and black – which are the staple colours or Hanbok.
